Ger Dijkshoorn (born 1947 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands) owns one of the most established specialized Harley-Davidson workshops in Utrecht, the Netherlands since 1978. Dutch Motorcycle Academy founder Peter van den Barselaar once complained to him that lots of knowledge about classic and vintage Harleys is fading away as many of the older mechanics retire. He asked Ger to put some details on Linkert carburetors on paper so that he could give a training on these. What started as making just a few notes ended up as an 28 page DIN A5 booklet in Dutch. Now available from Zodiac in English.
