Part Description
Electronic ignition with manual advance, 1936-early 1947
Text excerpt from the catalog:
This easy to install electronic ignition provides better starting, accurate timing from idle to high RPM, has no moving points and consequently requires no maintenance. It is investment protected and works on both 6 Volt and 12 Volt systems. The greatest thing about them is that this state-of-the-art conversion is not visible from the outside. Ignition features a timing LED for an easy timing procedure. Works with coils with a primary resistance of more than 1 Ohm on 6 Volt, and more than 2 Ohm on 12 Volt systems. Fits inside the distributor housing and replaces the breaker points and condenser in all Side Valves, K, KH, Sportster, Flathead, Knucklehead and Panhead. Available for use with manual advance on 1936-early 1947 models, as well as manual or full electronic advance for late 1947-1964 models. The hard-to-find timer control bracket for 750 Sidevalves is available separately.
