Parts Europe OldBook by BMG

dragspecialties.eu | #SINCE1968 partseurope.eu keep it simple and tidy,” Reinhart said. The motor is an 80” Evolution Big Twin with the stock bore/stroke, enhanced with classic upgrades from S&S Cycle: a new intake manifold, a Super E carburetor, and a complete air cleaner kit. The bike’s soundtrack comes from a 2-into-1 exhaust system from Bassani. The seat was the one area that required a midbuild change of plan. “I originally was going to go with a frame-mounted seat,” Reinhart said. “But the rear fender kit eliminated the stock fender struts for a tighter look. That moved the fender in closer on the frame so a stock-style seat wouldn’t fit any more. I switched the design to use a springstyle solo seat. And it turned out pretty good!” A small but important detail some builders overlook is the engine hardware. Reinhart swapped out all the stock fasteners for quality 12-point hardware from the OldBook. “So many people put a lot of effort into the motor finishes and nice paint, then keep the stock fasteners. They often start to corrode pretty quickly. Quality hardware – like the Feuling 12-point bolt kits - are a great upgrade to any build.” The paint is a beautiful silver leaf PPG Brandywine over black and clearcoat and the Drag Specialties logo is silver leaf with orange pinstripe. And the 3” primary drive belt has a hand-painted Drag Specialties logo. All this cool custom paint work was laid down at Nathan Bowers Paint Studio in Decatur, Indiana. And it is a runner. “I rode the bike from Sturgis to Rapid City for the final delivery,” Reinhart said. “It ran a steady 75 mph down the interstate no problem.” “This build was a lot of fun,” Reinhart said. “I wanted to design and build a bike that anybody, with time and effort, could make.”
