Repl. 41700097 926345 926333 573725 917617 After installing calipers, brake lines or when brake fluid has been replaced, it may be difficult to get all the air out of the brake system. If bleeding the brakes does not work satisfactorily you may want to approach the problem from a different angle. Use a clean oil (pumping type) can or a purpose-built device. Fill it with brake fluid. Connect a hose between the oil can and the brake bleed screw. Open the screw and pump brake fluid into the caliper until the brake fluid has reached the proper level in the master cylinder. Close the bleed screw, and disconnect the hose. Ready! Make sure to fully check the brake system after you have worked on it. If bleeding problems persist, more brake bleeding devices, including vacuum suction systems, are available in our 'Tools' catalog. tech-tip 08
