The Andrews 503576 gear is an improved design over the, no longer available, OEM gear for 1999 Twin Cam models only. The OEM design is poor design quality and prone to broken woodruff keys, when this happens both cams (and complete valve train) will stop in the still running engine. The Andrews gear and spacer is made as a one-piece design from a 4 times stronger material than the OEM gear. This one-piece design enables the use of a full length .350" longer woodruff key, which is much stronger. Note: In all applications, but especially in high performance, it is recommended to use the Andrews 503576 gear for 1999 Twin Cam A models. 99-17 Twin Cam Cam driven gear, 34t. 503576 1999 TCA. 34T Andrews, with keyway.
