The combination of a stock sensor with a custom speedo may give issues like non or incorrect working or trouble code triggering in later models since the pulse runs through the stock ECU. If all fails it is, in all cases, possible to use a Reed or Hall effect magnetic sensor that is installed on wheel, sprocket, pulley or such.
