These tanks are made by welding a 2" extension to our stretched tanks making them in total 4" (10cm) longer than stock. The extra stretch provides that special slim look. Tank has a seat pocket to match with most narrow seats, such as our Silhouette seats. Fits Softail models 1984 thru 1999. It is not recommended as a primer finish for paint applications without proper surface preparation. As with any fuel tank, particularly one where custom paint is to be applied, all tanks must be pressure tested, then cleaned with tank cleaner and sealed with tank sealer before painting, to protect the final finish and prevent internal rust during winter storage.
